SECOND CHEMOTHERAPY IS TOMORROW

Had my Blood Test today, and will be doing my second Chemotherapy tomorrow. I really hate doing that as the whole process is very unbearable, but I do not have any choice.

Oh yes, I am entirely bald. Cool? Not really, looks like it more cooling and saving on my shampoo expenses.

CUTTING MY HAIR REAL SHORT

Ask my eldest sister to cut my hair real short because I find it very untidy with hair all over my clothings.....

Guess in no time I will be entirely bald.

CROWNING GLORY

Chemotherapy is a very difficult process. Three days before my treatment, I have to take medication for my heart condition. This medication made me stared blankly for nights, and I become slow in actions.

After chemotherapy, I have to self inject myself with Filgrastim for three consecutive days. Thereafter, all the side effect start to set in day after day - the whole physical body is in great pain as if fire is burning inside. Bones ache, ulcers in the mouth, and lost of appetite.

When I am feeling much better today, I realised that my hair is falling like rain........

WHEN IT STARTED

31.08.2009 When to see Dr Juliana at Yishun Polyclinic, who confirmed that there was a lump
on my right breast.

09.10.2009 Appointment was fixed to see a Breast Doctor in SGH (a hospital of my choice). Doctor confirmed the worse, but insisted a mammogram done that very day, follow by ultra sound. Doctor wanted to do a immediate biopsy but realised that the lump is moving and recommended that a Guided Core Biopsy to be done instead. Was told of the worse.

12.10.2009 Guided Core Biopsy was done, with 5 needles aim at the lump. It was the most painful experience. It is like having 5 gun shots into it. Painful and sore for the next one week.

23.10.2009 Met up with Surgeon Yong Wen Sean, who told me exact what I expect of the surgery. Also met up with Counselor Sister Sara who had counseled me the outcome of my surgery and what I will expect in the near future.

03.11.2009 Did Ultrasound to Abdomen to see if it was spread.

05.11.2009 Preadmission Test. 7 procedures and tests to make sure that I am fit to proceed for the surgery.

09.11.2009 Bone Ultrasound to see if it was spread. This test was very interesting. It is like experiencing death as I was put into a machine, exactly like in a coffin.

12.11.2009 Admitted to Hospital for the surgery. Honestly, I am least frighten and was all ready to fight this battle.

21.11.2009 Dr Yong Wen Sean to see that the wound is properly healed and his recommendation of treatment that was needed.

24.11.2009 Dr Koo Wen Hsien is my Oncologist, and he recommended that I should have at least 4 cycle of chemotherapy follow by 30 days of radiation.

25.11.2009 Met up with the Radiotherapy Doctor, who will assess me agin in Feb 2009 to see if I can start my radiotherapy.
